Welcome

Most already know, communication is a huge positive, without it my children would not be able to succeed. That is why it is one of the biggest reasons I am running for school board. Parents need to be able to voice concerns and get answers, and same with teachers. Children do not always show the same behaviors in school as they do at home. NBCS has done some amazing things to help improve communication in the last year. Let's keep things improving to help all children be successful!

NBCS keeps children working hard in the core subjects (language arts, math, science, and history/social studies) and provides team members for academic interventions. While keeping our students thriving, we are ensuring there are other activities to keep them engaged and learning new interests and developing good social skills. Children don't learn the same way, nor do they all have the same strengths and interests, so it is important to keep developing and improving on our programs.

Our school has some amazing teachers and staff members. I have had the privilege of having and knowing some of these teachers when I attended NBCS. There are also many more that have aided in my own children's success at the school. They do so much for our students and they deserve support from us and their community.

I do support parental rights. Parents know their child best, from their behavior to their health history. Without this important information and input from parents, accurate decisions cannot be made. 

1. I plan to ensure the money is being spent where necessary to preserve the building and it's safety.
2. I want to keep our education funding to support our arts and gym classes, different established or new education programs, and materials/supplies that are needed.
3. I also would like to see if there are any places we can save for future investments and improvements, and possibly lower our taxes for the community.
